Committed to advancing the kingdom of God
We are a community-based spirit filled church led by Glenn and Petina Maybury who have resided in and are a part of the local area for decades. The ministry includes working with local families and a passion for missions 'locally, nationally and internationally. Cornerstone leadership is also involved in the local ministers fraternal in Tamworth.
Home fellowship and connect groups
The church members are dedicated to home fellowships and remaining connected. It strengthens the faith and allows for men's and women's groups to connect through the week and minister in a more personal way. It is also an opportunity for further biblical studies and exploring aspects of following Gods Word and his ways.
Local community engagement
The outreach work of the church is the 'Cornerstone Kitchen' held every Tuesday evening at the Coledale Centre (excluding school holidays) where a nutrisious meal is provided in a restaurant style setting and a safe engaging atmosphere is enjoyed. If you want to get involved and volunteer your time and skills we would love to hear from you.
Local community engagement
As the church is committed to reaching out to the local community, there is involvement in a number of areas. Cornerstone supports financially RHEMA 89.7, is part of the broader network of churches within Pioneer Network Australia and has hands on approach practically with Habitat for Humanity.
Events
Cornerstone gears up for the annual Christmas dinner provided to community members and other invited guests who have supported us during the year. The annual event takes place at the Coledale Centre.
